August 31, 2007 - September 3, 2007: City CarShare members now have a way to bypass the San Francisco Bay Bridge seismic retrofit closures (see SF Bay Bridge Info or 511.org for details). Simply take BART under the bay, and transfer to City CarShare at any of a dozen BART locations.

City CarShare members enjoy a shorter drive, fewer parking hassles, 24*7 paperless access to cars, a variety of smoke-free car models, and no restrictions on Bay Bridge construction hours. But plan ahead, especially before Labor Day: it takes several work days to process an application for membership. Remember that the bridge will be closed for the entire Labor Day weekend.

City CarShare also makes the perfect backup option for regular transit riders. In case of a mid-day appointment, or emergency, just hop into the nearest shared car.
