Who needs star search?

City CarShare has never been just another business enterprise. Over the years,
you've made CCS your own. As a local, community-based organization,
many of you have embraced City CarShare ... and even 'set us to song'.
Ariana Hernandez
is a very talented friend of Eugene, a member and a volunteer. Together, they
composed a jingle for City CarShare. This video is too precious to miss!
Plus, your clicks will help this star rise to the top.
Go to the City CarShare YouTube site .
If you have expressed your appreciation of City CarShare in a
creative way, let us know at marketing@citycarshare.org
so we can share it with the CCS community. On our YouTube page, you'll see some
other videos that students made about CCS.

Driving Tip: VIN = PIN
Gas is always included in your rental cost; just use the gas card
in the visor to refill whenever the tank is less than half-full.
Here's how to fill up:
- Note the mileage before turning off the engine.
- Get the gas card from the visor and swipe it as you would a credit card.
- Use the car's VIN (four digit # located on the dash) when machine asks for a PIN or a driver's ID.
- If the machine asks for mileage, please enter it.
- Fill the tank up with unleaded/regular and choose the lowest octane level.
(If you're driving a Mini Cooper, use the highest octane. For all other cars, use the lowest level.)
- Enter "no" when the machine offers you a receipt.
Got a driving tip? Send it our way at memberservices@citycarshare.org

Earth Day 2007
It is never too early to learn how to share! At the Oakland Zoo we
were able to introduce children to car sharing with toy cars and we
had a great time doing it. Thank you to all of the volunteers who
came out to help us at various Earth Day events!

Secure Bike Parking at the Embarcadero
Here are more details about the Embarcadero BART secure bike parking service we
announced last month. Access to the bike station is free during peak times on
Monday-Friday 7:30-9:30 AM and 3:00- 7:00 PM. For after-hours access, a membership
is required and you’ll need to sign up. Rates vary, but City CarShare members
get a $10 discount by entering EMB10CCS in the promo box when signing up. Enter
your 4 or 5 digit City CarShare fob number in the special notes box to access
the service with your fob during after hours. The number is printed on your fob.
It is very small, so if you can't read it, call us. To find out more and sign up,

Do You Need to Drive on the Other Side of the Bay?
With the collapse of the freeway connectors in the MacArthur Maze,
we recommend that you take public transit to the other side of the
bay and pick up a City CarShare vehicle to get around. We have cars
at BART stations for this purpose. For the latest news on conditions,
go to traffic alerts at 511.org
