Fees
Reservation Extension
There is no charge to extend your reservation, except for the additional time you reserve.
Late Fees
Our late fees discourage folks from inconveniencing other members. The fee is $15 if you are
15 or fewer minutes late and $30 if you are more than 15 minutes late and you call us to let
us know you're running late. If you don't let us know you're running late, these fees are
higher. And if there is not another member with a reservation waiting for your car, you can
always extend without any penalty fees. Please note you always pay for the time you
have the car, in 15-minute increments, and miles you travel.

Shortening or Cancelling
We're pretty flexible. Usually there is no charge for shortening or canceling a reservation. If someone
cancels or shortens a reservation with less than five hours notice we just charge a $5 fee. If it's less
than one hour notice, the fee is $15. That's to encourage folks to only make reservations they actually
need, so the cars will be available when you need them. If you bring your car back early, it may or may
not make financial sense to shorten your reservation. You have to do a little math to figure it out.
No-Show Fee
If you don't show up for your reservation, you'll be charged for the time you reserved the car plus
estimated mileage charges of 6 miles per reservation hour. If you don't show up for an Extended Freedom
Trip, you'll be charged $48 or $58, depending upon your plan, plus 60¢ for each hour of your
reservation.
Less-Than-Half-Tank Fee
Returning a car with less than half a tank of gas is a $25 flat fee.
Dirty-Car Fee
Returning an excessively dirty car is a $30 flat fee. If the car is dirty with pet hair or strange odors, the fee is $50.
Credits
Car Wash Credit
If the car you pick up is dirty and you take the time to get it cleaned, we'll happily credit your
account up to $15 for the cost of the wash. Just send us your dated receipt along with your member I.D.
and reservation number.
Gas Credit
Did you need to pay for gas out of pocket? We'll reimburse you for the entire cost. All we need is a
dated receipt along with your member I.D. and reservation number.
Inconvenience Credit
If you show up for a reservation and your car isn't there, we'll reimburse you up to $30 to cover taxi
rides, BART fare, or the added cost of a car rental. Please call us to discuss your situation.
