City CarShare is immediately seeking a contract, full-time Member Services Associate to provide stellar customer service to existing and future members. This position requires someone who is passionate about providing delightful customer care, is computer literate, enjoys interacting with people, is extremely focused and organized, is able to multi-task and who can be relied on to work with minimal supervision as a team player.
Must possess a confident, professional demeanor, with above average interpersonal and communication skills. Must also possess a sense of humor and a desire to help make a difference.
Responsibilities
Responding to member questions, issues and comments, ensuring a delightful user experience via telephone, email, and in person
Responding to service problems and emergency calls, ensuring that members receive follow-up assistance as needed
Respond to billing questions with assistance from the Finance Department as needed
Providing new member application processing, from receipt of application to activation of membership
Processing cancellations, adjustments, fees and credits
Participating in a variety of office support functions
Assisting the Member Services staff in analysis and research of member service contacts, and helping to determine how to better serve members
Occasional rotation on 24 hour emergency line
Opportunities to participate in outreach activities

Ability to perform effectively in a high-volume environment
Willingness for flexible work hours, including weekends (as part of a regular schedule) and early evening work.
Willingness to participate in 4/10 alternative workweek schedules, if necessary
Demonstrated customer service experience (three years relevant work experience preferred)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all levels in the organization
Good PC/Mac skills and the ability to utilize MS Office, Internet and web tools, as well as internal data base applications.
Compensation: $12 to $14.50 / hr depending on experience This is a full-time contract non-exempt position for a minimum of ninety (90) days. Those candidates converted to permanent status, will enjoy the following benefits.
